Every municipality, regardless of size or location, is vulnerable to emergencies. In Dufferin County potential emergencies include tornadoes, floods, winter storms and major transportation accidents. Emergency Preparedness by citizens and municipalities helps to minimize the impact that an emergency could have on our community.
Here in Dufferin County the emergency management program works to prepare our community for emergencies and disasters through the development of the Dufferin County Emergency Response Plan, hazard-specific and evacuation plans, training programs, emergency exercises, as well as public education and awareness.
Join us for a CANWARN presentation and training opportunity on Tuesday May 25th from 6:30pm - 10:00pm at the Grand Valley Community Centre. Click here for more details.
