Housing Access Dufferin is the one-stop centre for access to information about and applications for Rent-Geared-to-Income Housing in Dufferin County. Housing units are located in the Town of Orangeville, the Town of Shelburne and the Township of East Luther Grand Valley.
All households seeking accommodation in Rent-Geared-to-Income Housing in Dufferin County must submit an application to Housing Access Dufferin, where the application is reviewed for eligibility and placement on the Centralized Waiting List.
The Centralized Waiting List for Rent-Geared-to-Income Housing is managed by Housing Access Dufferin based on rules and regulations in the Social Housing Reform Act, 2000. The Act and its Regulations can be accessed in its entirety on the internet at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing web site www.mah.gov.on.ca and follow the links to Social Housing, or by accessing the Province of Ontarios E-Laws website at www.e-laws.gov.on.ca.
Housing Access Dufferins office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff are available to answer any questions applicants may have.
